A dog-handled ‘folk art’ walking stick

A dog-handled ‘folk art’ walking stick with a full length foxhunting scene dating from the reign of King George IV. Found in an attic in Blackpool. It is inscribed with the date Sept 27th 1825, Charney in Berkshire and the name Charles Beesley (died Feb 11th 1872 aged 75) was a tenant farmer and is buried in St Peter’s churchyard with his wife Anne (died 10 Dec 1870 aged 60) and son. It was valued at £1200-£1800.
